NaPPN Annual Conference

The North American Plant Phenotyping Network (NAPPN) is an association of scientists and researchers in the rapidly evolving area of plant phenomics, formed as a regional partner of the International Plant Phenotyping Network (IPPN).

Announcing NAPPN 2022

The 2022 NAPPN Annual Conference will be held in Athens, Georgia, USA. Join us from February 22-25, 2022 for exciting scientific content, the NAPPN General Assembly meeting, hands-on workshops, virtual tours, and more! Our conference is a Hybrid Event. The In-Person component will take place at the Classic Center in Athens, Georgia. The Virtual component will be available through Whova.

Research Submissions

Interested in giving a talk? Great! You can submit an Abstract or a Proceedings Paper. The deadline for manuscripts and abstracts is November 19th, 2021.

If you would like to give a scientific talk be sure to submit a Conference Proceeding/Extended Abstract.  If instead, you would like to give a fast forward talk (we will NOT have posters!) please submit a (short) Abstract. The submission instructions can be found here. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact one of us or Malia Gehan (mgehan@danforthcenter.org). Registration is NOT required prior to submitting a conference proceeding or abstract.

Note presenters of scientific talks will receive early registration rates and that conference registration includes membership to NAPPN.

If you are a faculty or student at a Historically Black College and want to be considered for travel support and a registration waiver, please fill in the request form: https://forms.gle/mtBCzmoFWKzkG35K7 . Requests of students/advisor pairs that participate with submitted abstract or paper will have preference over requests that attend the conference as attendees only.

Sessions

We will have Plenary talks and Scientific talks, as well as Fast-Forward talks. We will also have Science Cafés, Networking events, Workshops, a Career Fair, Community-Led Discussions, Field Trips, Virtual Tours, and the NAPPN Community Meeting.

Agenda

The conference kicks off on Monday, February 21 with the Pre-Conference events (the NAPPN General Assembly Meeting and the Opening Mixer). The conference officially starts on Tuesday, February 22, at 7:50 AM EST (UTC -5) with the NAPPN Chair’s Opening Remarks.

Travel

The 2022 NAPPN Annual Conference will take place at the University of Athens, Georgia, USA. The Classic Center is our conference venue, and we have reserved a room block at three hotels, with rooms available from Feb. 21-25.
