Call for Candidates for the IPPN CE Phenotyping Working Group Elections
The International Plant Phenotyping Network (IPPN) is officially opening the Call for Candidates for the upcoming Chair and Vice-Chair elections of the Controlled Environment Plant Phenotyping Group (CePPG).
If you are interested in advancing controlled environment phenotyping, fostering international collaboration, and driving the working group's strategic initiatives, we want to hear from you!
Roles & Eligibility
To ensure diverse representation and leadership within our community, the eligibility criteria for the two leadership roles are structured as follows:

Working Group Chair: Open exclusively to individuals currently affiliated with an IPPN member institution.

Working Group Vice-Chair: Open to everyone in the plant phenotyping community, regardless of institutional membership status.
The Election Process: Step-by-Step
We are committed to a transparent, democratic, and community-driven election.
Here is how the process will unfold:
1. Candidate Shortlisting & Introduction
Interested individuals are invited to submit their candidacy ahead of, -or during the CePPG workshop. From these submissions, a short-list of candidates will be assembled.
Shortlisted candidates will have the unique opportunity to introduce themselves, present their vision for the working group, and engage with the community during the upcoming CePPG Workshop. This workshop will take place at the IPAP conference, and candidates can participate either in-person or remotely.
2. Voting Procedure
Following the workshop at the IPAP conference, the election will be conducted via email.

Who can vote: Anyone who participates in the CePPG workshop and/or is an active member of the CePPG working group is eligible to cast one vote for their preferred candidate.

How to vote: Cast your ballot by sending an email to ippn@plant-phenotyping.org (including the candidate's name).

Subject Line: You must use "CePPG Election" as the email subject line to ensure your vote is counted.
- The person with the most votes will become the new chair of the CePPG.
- The person with the 2nd most vtes will become the vice-chair.
3. Voting Window
The exact voting period will be officially announced during the CePPG workshop. Please note that the submission window will be brief, covering only a few days following the conclusion of the IPAP conference.
