Einweihung Gewächshaus

Jülich, 31 August 2017 – Plants provide us with food, raw materials, and energy. Scientists at the Jülich Institute of Plant Sciences are researching how they can be sustainably and efficiently bred, grown, and utilized as part of a future bioeconomy.

A new research greenhouse dedicated to this was officially opened by Thomas Rachel (Member of the German Bundestag), Parliamentary State Secretary to the Federal Minister of Education and Research, together with Prof. Harald Bolt, member of the Board of Directors. The "glass laboratory" meets complex technical requirements and opens up completely new perspectives for researchers in terms of the high-throughput characterization of plants.
