Visa Information

All international visitors must present a passport or secure document when entering the United States. Most travelers to the United States must hold a valid visa and a passport that is valid six months longer than the intended visit.
 
Do I need a visa to attend IPPS8?

In order to determine if a visa is required for you to enter the U.S., you may use the U.S. Department of State Visa Wizard to make sure.

The  U.S. Department of State Visa Wizard may indicate that you eligible for an ESTA to enter the U.S. and do not need a visa in your passport.

REMEMBER: In this case, you must still have valid Electronic System for Travel Authorization (ESTA) approval and meet all the requirements listed.

 
I do need a visa!

In case you require a visa, please check for your requirements with your local U.S. consulate or embassy or the U.S. Department of State visa information website.

Note: Please be aware that the visa application process may take some time. So, keep in mind to start ealy applying for your visa.

 

I do require a Letter of Invitation!

Note: A request for a letter of invitation can be made only after registration to IPPS8.

All requests must be emailed to ippn@plant-phenotyping.org

 

Please provide:

  • Your full name
  • IPPS8 registration
  • The name  & address of your institution
  • Your passport number and date of issue
  • The country that issued your passport

 

Please allow up to 72 hours to process your request and prepare a letter of invitation. The letter will be returned by email.
