9th International Plant Phenotyping Symposium:
"Phenotyping for All: Bridging the Gap in Global Agriculture"
On behalf of the International Plant Phenotyping Network (IPPN) and the West Africa Centre for Crop Improvement (WACCI), we are honored to welcome you to the 9th International Plant Phenotyping Symposium (IPPS9) in Accra, Ghana, from October 12–16, 2026.
For its historic first edition on the African continent, this symposium convenes a global communityof scientists and industry partners to confront the challenge of food insecurity in an era of unprecedented global shocks.
IPPS9 provides a unique platform to learn about African agricultural scenarios, focusing on the adaptation and deployment of plant phenotyping tools specifically tailored to serve Pan-African research and agriculture. By bridging high-tech innovation with the practical realities of diverse agro-ecologies, we aim to foster a mutual exchange of knowledge that transforms plant phenomics into a resilient, scalable engine for continental and global food security, especially under challenging conditions. We invite you to join us in this critical dialogue to ensure that the next generation of phenotyping solutions is both scientifically rigorous and locally impactful.
The International Plant Phenotyping Symposium is a conference jointly organized by:
The International Plant Phenotyping Network
West Africa Centre for Crop Improvment
