This workshop will be held as a satellite meeting of the 4th International Symposium on Genomics of Plant Genetic Resources (GPGR4). It will specifically address  the establishment of an IPPN workgroup for Seed Phenotyping. The Seed Phenotyping Workgroup will aim at tangibly accelerating progress in concrete ways for specific purposes with the overarching goal of increasing innovation in seed phenotyping. The workshop will address seed bank experts, techology developers, among others.

Specific goals:

  • to elaborate on the benefit of using new technologies to seedbanks, and innovative agriculture
  • to promote data sharing and exchange, interoperability, data use, data analysis, and best practice for seedbanks with respect to phenotypic data
  • to establish a model as a pillar in plant phenotyping through collaboration, advocacy, research, and the development and implementation of multidisciplinary resources and opportunities

 Participation is free.
