Goals

SGPWG should tangibly accelerate progress in concrete ways for specific purposes with the overarching goal of increasing innovation in seed phenotyping. Specific goals:

  • to provide constructive input to the IPPN meetings. It will elaborate on the benefit of using new technologies to seedbanks, and innovative agriculture.
  • to promote data sharing and exchange, interoperability, data use, data analysis, and best practice for seedbanks with respect to phenotypic data.
  • to establish a model as a pillar in plant phenotyping through collaboration, advocacy, research, and the development and implementation of multidisciplinary resources and opportunities.
