German Plant Breeding Conference 2026
During the conference young and experienced researchers as well as practical plant breeders will present and discuss the latest developments in breeding research under the topic “Plant Breeding Under Climate Change”.
Approaches, like digitalization, genome sequencing, high-throughput phenotyping, genomic prediction, and genome editing, are promising and offer new solutions to plant breeding in order to counter the increasing effects of biotic and abiotic stresses caused by climate change. The Conference will focus on applying these breeding technologies to improve the performance and resilience of our crops. Information on the program and registration will be available at the GPZ website (https://gpz-online.de/gpz-haupttagung/web/site/index).
The Local Organizing Committee and the Scientific Advisory Committee are looking forward to welcome you in Halle!
