With the rapid advances in sequencing technologies and computational capacities, “Big Data” has become one of the hottest buzzwords in the biological sciences, including agricultural genomics. This conference will present recent genomic breakthroughs that utilize big data analyses to facilitate agricultural improvement for crops and livestock. We will discuss cross-disciplinary research through combining cell and molecular biology with big data genomics, aiming to better understand the plant epigenome, 3D genomic architecture and plant responses to environmental stresses. In addition, big data technologies and their applications in genome engineering, genomic selection, quantitative genetics, plant breeding, evolutionary genomics and crop and livestock genomics will be discussed. The conference will feature keynote speeches, plenary speeches by world-renowned experts in the field, and poster presentations contributed by the participants. We aim to discuss the progress of multi-omics technologies and approaches, accelerate the genetic improvement of animals and plants, and promote food security and sustainable agriculture.
