IPPS8 Special Issue with The Plant Phenome Journal

This TPPJ special issue will be the official peer-reviewed publication associated with the IPPS8. Preference will be given to material presented at the IPPS8, although contributions from the broader plant phenotyping community are welcome.

Submissions open: August 1, 2024

Submission deadline: January 1, 2025

The eighth International Plant Phenotyping Symposium (IPPS8) will be held on October 7-11, 2024, in Lincoln, NE: https://www.plant-phenotyping.org/ipps8. IPPS8 is the premiere international conference dedicated to plant phenotyping research and application – an inclusive multidisciplinary field spanning the disciplines biology, computer science, ecology, engineering, mathematics and statistics that uses formal systems to research plants. The theme of the conference is Green Horizons: Navigating the Future of Plant Phenotyping.

This TPPJ special issue will be the official peer-reviewed publication associated with the IPPS8 and will highlight cutting-edge research articles and op-ed contributions. Preference will be given to material presented at the IPPS8, although contributions from the broader plant phenotyping community are welcome. Topics include but are not limited to:

  • Phenotyping of biotic & abiotic stress responses
  • Cutting edge hardware & software developments providing new & exciting research possibilities for plant scientists
  • Phenotyping of allocation & source-sink dynamics in woody & herbaceous plants
  • Next level AI, Models & Algorithms for Phenomics
  • Advancing Crop Phenotyping in African: Exploring Perspectives
  • Phenomics for Genebanks: Leveraging diversity towards new phenotypes
  • Emerging Frontiers & Special applications in Plant Phenotyping
