Symposium: “Traits and Trait Integration”

We are happy to announce a Symposium with the title “Traits and Trait Integration”, which will be held October 21^st and 22^nd, 2025 at the Forschungszentrum Central Library Lecture Room. This symposium is supported by IBG2, IPPN and by the New Phytologist Foundation.

Prof. Hendrik Poorter retired in 2024 and to celebrate his career we decided to organize a science meeting focusing on past achievements and future perspective of plant eco-physiological research and trait-based approaches. We believe that we have assembled a very good panel of speakers and topics encompassing above-ground and below-ground plant productivity traits and the influence of selected environmental factors on carbon allocation.
